Intro:
Italy physio Enrico Castellacci says it was "much easier" for Costa Rica to play in the heat and humidity of Recife.
Script:
Italy back in training after their shock defeat to Costa Rica. They insist a big reason that happened was because of the conditions in Recife.
SOUNDBITE: (Italian) Enrico, Castellacci, Italy team physician:
"Of course the problem of high temperatures is one of the variables we have to deal with. We played at a temperature of 28.5 to 29 degrees Celsius according to FIFA with a humidity of 75 per cent. We played at 1 pm (local time) which is not a minor detail. We (those on the bench) felt it less because we were in the shade, but the lads were in the sun and it affected them greatly. In Manaus, to tell the truth, the temperature was slightly lower and it was cooler because obviously there was no sun (evening match). This, the lads felt and I am sure it was easier for Costa Rica to manage this temperature."
The physio also says Daniele De Rossi will miss the now crucial match against Uruguay with a calf problem. They are still smiling now but another defeat would change that, they would be going home.
