SOUNDBITE: (English) Wayne Rooney, England striker:

"Obviously we are hurting. Really disappointed to be out of the tournament. So I am sure you can imagine, it's quite tough. A long few days for us now and we have to try and pick ourselves up for this game on Tuesday - go out there fighting, show our pride. But overall we are disappointed."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Wayne Rooney, England striker:

"I think in previous tournaments we haven't really played as well in games and gone through, whereas in this tournament it has been fine margins. We could have quite easily have got something out of both games - so it is tough to take that we are out of the tournament and it is the first time myself and I think Joe as well has experienced going out of the competition after two games. So it is really difficult to take."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Wayne Rooney, England striker:

"You know, they've scored - these things happen. I think we've done okay, but Suarez is a great player, two chances two goals, so you can't take nothing away from him, but maybe we could have done better in certain things in the game, but that's football, we have to move on."
