Intro:
A mosque in Cuiaba, Brazil, welcomed Bosnia and Herzegovina players to prayers on Friday ahead of Bosnia's World Cup match against Nigeria.
Script:
They might be in Brazil but the small muslim community in the city of Cuiaba now have another side to follow at the World Cup. Thats after three Bosnia and Herzegovina players joined them for Friday prayers. Muhammad Besic, Edin Visca and Vedad Ibisevic would have been after a little help from above ahead of their Group F match against Nigeria. That game takes place at the City's Arena Pantanal and they'll have the support of this man.
SOUNDBITE: (Portuguese) Shaikh Omar Omama, imam of Cuiaba mosque:
"Actually Bosnia played very well, very well, against Argentina and tomorrow… Nigeria is Muslim and Bosnia is Muslim, but I will only be for Bosnia tomorrow. Overall of course I support Brazil because we are all Brazilians."
Around 200 families use the mosque but there is always room for more.
SOUNDBITE: (Portuguese) Shaikh Omar Omama, imam of Cuiaba mosque:
"We are very happy to receive them because the mosque is also a place for tourists and you see how people took pictures with them and were very happy to receive them. It is our pleasure, not only ours in the mosque but of all the Muslims in Cuiaba."
Bosnia will hope that brings them some luck as a defeat would see them eliminated from the tournament.
