SOUNDBITE (English): Ralf Mutschke, FIFA Director of Security:

"We all know that there were matches that were manipulated (before the last World Cup) and because of this experience we monitored between the 15th May this year and the 11th June this year, 98 friendlies on the betting market. None of those we have any indication of a fix.

    (on suspicious betting activity)

"The first indication, you're right, because we cannot watch all the matches we would like to watch, is from the betting market. This is an indication if a criminal group is involved because they would then bet on the fixed match. This you would then see on the betting market. We are also looking for manipulations which are done for sports reasons too, like relegation for example. There we are also getting alerts and talking to sources and there we are also getting information to our member associations to deal with that."
