Intro:
Portugal arrived in Brazil on Wednesday, touching at Viracopos International Airport near their training base in Campinas.
Script:Portugal have arrived for the World Cup in Brazil.
And they come with some confidence after they thrashed the Republic of Ireland 5-1 in a warm-up match on Wednesday night. Cristiano Ronaldo scored a hat-trick as he shrugged off any concerns about injury. He wasn't the only one that many thought would have medical problems here either but coach Paulo Bento says he has a fully fit squad heading for their training base in Campinas.
Portugal get their Group G campaign underway with a mouthwatering match against Germany in Salvador on Monday. The squad then travel to Manuas to face the USA and then Brasilia to play Ghana.
A fit Ronaldo gives them a chance of winning here but he'd have to break yet another record and become the first Ballon d'Or winner to life the World Cup in the following year.
