Mario Balotelli's Italy teammates congratulate the striker after hearing his girlfriend accepted his wedding proposal. So a relaxed start but there was a lot at stake in this session as manager Cesare Prandelli does not like partnerships up front and so it's likely only one of Balotelli and Ciro Immobile will start against England on Saturday.

Immobile staked his claim to the role on Sunday night when he scored a hat-trick in a warm-up match against Fluminense.

Despite that competition, the fact he hasn't scored an international goal since October, and persistent rain, Balotelli kept smiling throughout this session.

There is clearly a change in atmosphere surrounding the Italian team after their win on Sunday that ended a run of seven games without one.

The squad will leave their base here at Mangaratiba and head for the Amazon rainforest city of Manaus for the England match before they face Costa Rica and then Uruguay.
