Switzerland held an open training session at the Estadio Municipal on Sunday, ahead of their opening World Cup clash against Ecuador.

Currently ranked six in the World, Switzerland enjoyed an unbeaten qualifying campaign under coach Ottmar Hitzfeld.

Amongst Switzerland's squad is Bayern Munich winger Xherdan Shaqiri. A rumoured target for Liverpool this summer, the 22 year old Shaqiri has 30 caps to his name. Shaqiri played in nine out of Switzerland's 10 qualifying matches for Brazil, contributing two goals.

As well as Ecuador, Switzerland will take on France and Honduras in group E.
