Hosts Brazil begin this summer's competition with a Group A match against Croatia on 12 June, before facing Mexico and Cameroon.

    "My father was crying and a player friend of him was very sad. I said, 'What happened?'. He said, 'Brazil lost the World Cup'. I said I didn't know what to do because there was a big party before [the match]. Then I said, 'Don't worry, I'm going to win one World Cup. Don't cry.'"
