The Ivory Coast touched down in São Paulo on Friday ahead of next week's Brazil World Cup.

The West African country has now qualified for three consecutive World Cups, after their debut appearance in 2006. Star striker Didier Drogba tried to lower expectations of reaching the knockout stages for the first time. The 2012 Champions League winner with Chelsea said they're simply taking one game at a time.

The Ivory Coast will begin the tournament with a match against Japan next Sunday before taking on Columbia and Euro 2004 champions Greece.

The global showpiece almost certainly represents the last World Cup for their so called 'golden generation' of Drogba, Didier Zokora, Emmanuel Eboué and brothers Kolo and Yaya Touré.

Even if they don't go all the way, Les Éléphants will be hoping to make this a tournament to remember.
