Brazil held a training session at their base in Teresopolis near Rio de Janeiro on Thursday, before heading to Sao Paulo for a World Cup warm-up match against Serbia.

Chelsea midfielder Oscar was the only absentee at the Granja Comary training ground after seven players sat out of training on Wednesday, following a friendly against Panama.

Oscar was released from the national team's preparations to celebrate the birth of his first child in Sao Paulo.

He is expected to return ahead of Friday's final friendly against Serbia at the Morumbi Stadium.

Although Willian was in the starting team during the training match in Teresopolis, Oscar will be expected to take his place for the Serbia game.

FIFA have released the latest world rankings ahead of the World Cup and the hosts have overtaken Portugal to move up to third place, just behind Spain and Germany in first and second respectively.

Brazil will play the opening match of the 2014 World Cup finals against Croatia in Sao Paolo on the 12th of June.
