The Spanish National team trained in Washington on Saturday ahead of their friendly game against El Salvador.

Spain, who arrived in the American capital on Monday evening, open their World Cup defence on June 13th in a much anticipated clash against The Netherlands.

Group B promises to be extremely tough, with dark horses Chile also in contention alongside the Dutch and Spain, as well as Australia.

Head coach Del Bosque made his final 23-man squad selection last weekend, which included Brazilian-born striker Diego Costa, who has been receiving treatment on an injured right hamstring.

Costa, who only received Spanish citizenship in 2013 is likely to receieve a hostile reception from Brazilian crowds, should he make it onto the pitch.

The Spanish, who won the World Cup four years ago in South Africa are looking to become the first side to retain the Jules Rimet trophy, since Brazil achieved the feat in '62.
