The opening game of the 2014 World Cup is just nine days away, yet the stadium staging the event is not yet 100% complete.

Construction work continues to take place in and around the Arena de Sao Paulo, which cost $500m, before hosts Brazil take on Croatia on June 12th.

FIFA recently admitted that advertising hoardings and televisions were still being installed whilst internet connections in the media facilities needed testing.

Officials held a test event at the stadium on Sunday, but were unable to house the full 70,000 seater capacity. FIFA generally prefers to hold at least three test events in a venue prior to a World Cup match.

As well as staging the World Cup opener, the ground is also expected to host group matches including England vs Uruguay, as well as a round of 16 match and a
    semi-final clash.

Brazil have come constant under criticism for their organization surrounding the World Cup and all eyes will be fixed on the country as one of the biggest event's in International sport gets underway.
