Chile defeat Egypt 3-2 in a World Cup warm-up friendly on Friday (30th May).

    Script:

Chile were hosting Egypt in a friendly as they prepare for the World Cup in Brazil.

Drawn in a tough group alongside current World champions Spain, the Netherlands and Australia, the hosts will hope to improve significantly.

The visitors took an early lead when Chelsea's Mohamed Salah latched onto a through ball and slotted calmly past Claudio Bravo after just 12 minutes.

Egypt soon went 2-0 up, Khaled Kamar beat the offside trap and finished in style with a wonderful chip over Bravo to silence the Santiago crowd.

Chile were undaunted however, and had pulled one back within ten minutes.

Alexis Sanchez going down the wing before cutting the ball back for Marcelo Diaz.

He produced a spectacular acrobatic effort to beat the goalkeeper and galvanise the home fans.

La Roja came out intent on turning the game around in the second half, Sanchez and Edu Vargas combined to do just that.

Sanchez producing some wonderful through balls to release Vargas who levelled in 60th minute.

He then completed the comeback in the 78th minute with another cool finish past El Hadary .

Not the most convincing performance, but a 3-2 win for Chile who will now look ahead to their final friendly against Northern Ireland on June 4th.
