Tuesday, May 06 2014 by SNTV
  • Intro:

Sir Roger Bannister believes there are a couple of athletics records that could be broken in the near future. The two-hour marathon is yet to be broken, however Bannister believes it won't be Mo Farah breaking it.

60 years later, Sir Roger Bannister was reflecting on his famous achievement - running the four minute mile - a feat that changed athletics forever.

    Script:

SOUNDBITE: (English) Roger Bannister, Former Athlete (on possible athletics records still to be broken):

"So there are a number and at the moment the one that is of interest is the two hour marathon which will be, I'm sure, run by someone probably in the next five years. It may not be by Mo Farah because I think he is distance is better even below 10,000-metres. 5000-metres is probably his best distance. But we will shall see."
