Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert said on Saturday that his side's 0-0 draw against Southampton in the English Premier League (EPL) had earned them a "huge, huge point".

"A really tough, tough game and I think sometimes in football matches you get big points and you get huge points, and that was a huge, huge point for us considering what's been going on. I thought in the second half we were excellent, I really did, I thought we gave as good as we got. We were up against a really good side, I think they (southampton) are a really good football side. I didn't think there was much in it, they started better than us and then 15 minutes into the first half we started to get a foothold in it. In the second half, I though we were excellent, I though Allbrighton and Abonnahor were excellent for us, I thought they were great."
