"As I often mentioned our team is kind of defined in it's spine. The core group of that team is Timmy Howard, then Michael Bradley and Jermaine Jones in midfield, Clint in front of them and Jozy Altidore up front. These five players build our spine. Having Michael Bradley and Clint Dempsey with us in the Ukraine is very, very important to us. Obviously Clint playing these two months at Fulham and Michael coming off the preseason camp with Toronto - for us very, very important to see both back in the team and put their stamp on that game."
