SOUNDBITE: (English) Tim Sherwood, Tottenham Hotspur head coach (on Jermain Defoe leaving the club):
"I hope so (the result against Dnipro put a smile on his face). I was saying to Jermain before the game, 'have you been out on the pitch yet?' He said, 'yeah twice' and I said, 'well get out there again, we need to whip these punters up into a frenzy!' I wanted him to keep going back out on the field. He deserves all the ovations he gets. He's been a legend at this club and he's a credit to the football club and to the English game really. He's one of the top strikers the Premier League's ever seen and he'll be sorely missed but he's got a long career, we've just seen he's been named in the England squad so his career is far from finished. He's just taking another path at Toronto and we wish him well."
