"Well I think that everyone who's watched him play recently will not deny he deserves a place in a large squad like this. He's played extremely well, we think he's a very exciting talent. I've not worked with him in the under 21's, he wasn't in that squad but I've seen him with the under 21's squad so I've had the chance to meet him. I think it was the right moment to invite him along with us because obviously he's a player in his position, we're very well off in the left full back position, but he's a player who obviously wants to compete with the other two for a place on the place to Brazil and I thought it was the right time to bring him in and give him a chance to show what he can do."
