SOUNDBITE (English) Jason Collins, Brooklyn Nets Center (On if he thought he would get a chance to play again)

"No, I always try to stay positive and try to control what I can control. And that's my training so I always try to focus on being positive and staying ready. That's part of being professional."

SOUNDBITE (English) Jason Collins, Brooklyn Nets Center (On Michael Sam and the progression of accepting gay athletes)

"I hope so and I hope that some of what Michael (Sam) said that it's about him being a football player and me being a basketball player. And going out there and trying to help our respective teams win."

SOUNDBITE (English) Jason Collins, Brooklyn Nets Center (How he is not worried about fan/player reaction)

"No, my teammates have been great, everybody this morning. Like I said, I've played with a lot of these guys with my brother (Jarron Collins) and throughout the league. My brother played ten years in the NBA. So we have 22 years experience between the two of us. So that's a lot of teammates, a lot of coaches, a lot of people we've crossed paths with."

SOUNDBITE (English) Jason Collins, Brooklyn Nets Center (On the pressure he is facing)

For me, the pressure is playing in an NBA game tonight and last time I played in an NBA game was last April. So I think that's enough pressure right there."
