Intro:
Leaders Standard Liege were beaten at home in the Belgian Pro League for the first time this season, when they went down to a 3-2 defeat at the hands of KAA Gent on Sunday (February 23).
Script:
10 wins, three draws in their last 13 league games - unbeaten at home in the competition - Standard Liege look to be unstoppable in the Belgian Pro League.
And this clash with Gent looked to be going to plan for the hosts when Julien de Sart's free-kick was too good for anyone.
But, less than 10 minutes later, Gent hit back when Brazilian defender Kanu sliced the ball into his own net in the 24th minute to level the scores.
Two minutes later and the visitors were in front. It all looked too easy - big cross from the right and an unmarked Christophe Lepoint headed in.
And Gent held on until the 85th minute, but a reckless challenge from Hannes van der Bruggen gave the leaders a chance to pull level.
Substitute Geoffrey Mujangi Bia converted the resulting penalty.
Yet, Van der Bruggen was soon to make amends.
His 89th-minute corner was met by the head of Croatian defender Ante Puljic.
3-2 the final score - Standard's lead is now seven points at the top of the Pro League.
