Despite terrible conditions in West Flanders, plenty of Kortrijk fans braved the weather for the visit of Anderlecht and they were rewarded with a memorable tussle against the Belgian Champions.

This had all the makings of a difficult night for Anderlecht who were hoping to bounce back after defeat to Lierse, they started reasonably bright as Anthony Van Dem Borre forced Kortijk keeper Darren Keet into a good save early on.

That was one of few chances in the first half but it was the home side who took the lead after the break. Elimane Coulibaly's eyes must have lit up when the ball found its way to him and he duly found the net. That is the Senegalese striker's ninth goal of the season and third in as many games.
It then got even worse for the Champions a wonderful piece of skill from Stijn de Smet and he was in on goal to make it two-nil.
With fifteen minutes to go, finally Anderlecht found the net, not before time for Gohi Cyriac either, his first goal of the season got his team back in the match. Keet did manage to get a hand on the strike but it was just too powerful from it Ivory Coast forward.
Kortrijk held on until the third minute of injury time Zarko Tomasevic's clearance fell to David Pollet and Anderlecht had snatched a point. An impressive comeback maybe but simply not enough if they are going to catch league leaders Standard Liege.
