Lierse have beaten Anderlecht 2-0 in the Jupiler Pro League.

The win moves the struggling side up to 10th in the table.

    Script:

Second-placed Anderlecht visited struggling Lierse in Belgium's Jupiler Pro League.

The hosts fashioned the first opening after just six minutes and Anderlecht goalkeeper Thomas Kaminski had to be at his sharpest to keep out a header from Mbaye Diagne.

But he was at fault for Lierse's opener after 24 minutes.

He fumbled Hernan Losada's free-kick and Diagne was on hand to put the hosts ahead.

It was nearly 2-0 after 41 minutes but Kaminski was back at his sharpest to keep out Arjan Swinkels's header.

Ten minutes after the break Anderlecht had a chance to get back on level terms but Aleksandar Mitrovic's shot was deflected over the bar by a Lierse defender and his penalty appeal for handball was waved away by the referee.

Lierse sealed their upset win with a second goal after 64 minutes.

Anderlecht carelessly gave the ball away in their own half and former Glasgow Celtic striker Tony Watt profited to shoot home from outside the penalty area.

So, a 2-0 win for Lierse which takes them up to 10th in the table while Anderlecht stay seven points behind leaders Standard Liege but having played one game more.
