    The World Cup trophy continued its tour with stop in Lima on Thursday (23 January).

    The FIFA World Cup trophy arrived in Peru on Thursday as part of its tour, visiting 89 countries.

    The trophy was taken to Government Palace where it was shown to Peruvian President Ollanta Humala by FIFA representatives.

    The trophy arrived from Bolivia.

    The World Cup trophy was put on public display for two days with football fans having the chance to see the trophy and have their photograph taken beside it.

    The World Cup tournament starts on 12 June when the hosts Brazil take on Croatia.
