West Bromich Albion striker Nicolas Anelka could face a five-match FA ban, following his recent controversial goal celebration.
France International Anelka made what is considered to be an anti-semetic gesture, after scoring against West Ham in late December.
The gesture, which is known in France as a "quenelle" and has been described as an "inverted Nazi salute," was popularised by a French comedian. The gesture involves pointing one straightened arm downward while touching a shoulder with the opposite hand.
The comedian Dieudonne M'Bala M'Bala denies the anti-Semitism claims, but he has been previously convicted for inciting racial hatred.
West Brom's shirt sponsor Zoopla have already said they won't be renewing their deal with the club at the end of the season, as a result of the incident.
