Barcelona manager Gerardo Martino said on Saturday that Lionel Messi will benefit from his hamstring injury because he was been able to complete a second pre-season during his spell on the sidelines. The La Liga leaders travel to 10th-placed Levante on Sunday (KO 18.00).
SOUNDBITE: (Spanish) Gerardo Martino, Barcelona manager (about Lionel Messi's recovery):
"What a team usually does at the beginning of the season -- which is recovering to be in top shape -- he has done it in December. So it is logical he feels well. Firstly, because he's recovered from his injury, and secondly, because he has been able to work in a way the rest of the team wasn't able to."
