    Korea whitewashed Thailand 5-0 in the Sudirman Cup in Malaysia on Tuesday taking the lead of level 1 Group B.

    The competition started with the mixed doubles in which Korea's Ko Sung Hyun and Kim Ha Na beat the Thai pairing in two games, 21-9, 21-10 in just 27 minutes.

    And it was Lee Dong Keun against Saensomboonsuk Tanongsak in the men's single.

    A tight match decided in three sets and after just under an hour Lee was able to celebrate a 12-21, 21-9, 22-20 victory.

    Korean sealed their win in the following match when Ko Sung Jyun and Lee Yong Dae beat Thail counterparts Jongjit Maneepong and Puangpuapech Nipitphon in the men's doubles in two sets, 21-10, 21-14.

    The Korean pair have been in good form since the start of the season and won the doubles title at the Asian Badminton Championship in Taiwan in mid-April.

    South Korea also emerged victorious in the women's singles and doubles, to wrap up a 5-0 victory.
