Tebow mania has hit the Big Apple.
After Linsanity struck New Yorkers recently, you would think they would have had enough of sports induced fevers - but, no.
Quarterback Tim Tebow landed at Morristown Municipal Airport on Thursday ready to spread his gospel on the East Coast.
With former franchise Denver Broncos signing Peyton Manning on a multi-million dollar dollar, Tebow had to look elsewhere and there were plenty of interested parties for the 24-year-old to choose from.
Jackonsville Jaguars were rumoured to be in the hunt, especially as Tebow went to university in Florida. Miami Dolphins were also assessing their options.
However, Tebow opted for the Jets.
NFL fans are spilt on Tebow, many consider him a raw talent who makes too many errors - his career pass completion statistic is only 47.3%. However, he is a winner - leading the Broncos to the AFC West title after a six-game winning streak towards the end of last season.
The religious Tebow is likely to play back-up to current Jets quarterback, Mark Sanchez, who many have criticised as not living up to his potential - Tebow will see to that.
Tebow gives the Jets the option to run new offensive co-ordinator Tony Sparano's wildcat attack - the one that confused teams while in Miami with the Dolphins - and provides an intriguing presence when games are on the line.
Whatever happens, it will be unpredictable.
