Jack Fitzwater faces late fitness test before date with Dale

Walsall defender Jack Fitzwater faces a late fitness test ahead of the home game against Rochdale.
Fitzwater pulled his back in the warm-up to Saturday’s 3-0 victory at Southend, but boss Jon Whitney confirmed it is “nothing serious”.
Youngster Kory Roberts came in to the starting line-up and impressed Whitney as the Saddlers kept a fifth clean sheet of the season.
Erhun Oztumer is a certain starter after scoring a hat-trick at Roots Hall as Walsall came through the win unscathed.
Striker Stephen Humphrys should be fit for Rochdale.
Humphrys scored in Dale’s 6-1 FA Cup defeat to Tottenham but came off in the second half after struggling with a stomach ache. However, the postponement of Saturday’s clash with Plymouth should have given him enough time to fully recover.
On-loan Chesterfield defender Scott Wiseman would have been available to face the Pilgrims having been cup-tied against Spurs.
Oliver Rathbone, who sat out at Wembley, is in contention to play some part at the Banks’s Stadium.
