Verratti 'rebels' against Paris Saint-Germain

A transfer to Barcelona remains the intention of Marco Verratti, who has reiterated his determination to leave Paris Saint-Germain and who is prepared to rebel against the French club, although it will be a half-hearted rebellion.
The Italian midfielder is back in Paris after his holiday, yet there had been some speculation that he would refuse to turn up for pre-season training.
Instead, he will present himself at the facilities, but he will not train with the players who remain his current teammates and will instead work in the gym for the rest of this week on a custom training plan, a medium act of defiance.
In the meantime, Barcelona are working to make the move happen and to make it happen as soon as possible, which is why club president Josep Maria Bartomeu will now take charge of negotiations.
The hope is that both clubs can advance to the next stage of discussions in the coming days.
