Manchester City star Joe Hart will not get any chances under Pep Guardiola

City are keen to offload Hart this summer but aren’t finding it easy to get a club to pick up his £125,000 wages as well as pay a £25 million asking price.

West Ham were interested in a loan deal but said that they shouldn't afford his wages which has become a familiar theme as interest from Everton stalled over terms as well.

Hart is set to become Guardiola's third choice despite winning 71 international caps following the £35m arrival of Brazilian Ederson to challenge Claudio Bravo.

He will report back for pre-season training tomorrow after spending last season on loan with Italian outfit Torino who have made it clear that they cannot afford a permanent deal.

Manchester United will be in the market for a new goalkeeper when Real Madrid eventually make a bid for the £60m-rated David De Gea who has sold his Cheshire mansion ahead of a move.

Hart has emerged as their first choice to replace the Spanish star who knows he cannot afford to be playing reserve team football if he wants to retain his England place.

He would become the first player to cross the great Manchester divide since Owen Hargreaves made one appearance for Manchester City before being forced to retire through injury five years ago.

Hart joined City in 2006 from Shrewsbury Town and was sent on loan to Tranmere Rovers, Blackburn and Birmingham.

He made a total of 266 appearances for the Manchester club and won two Premier League titles along with the 2011 FA Cup.

Hart made his England debut in 2008 and earned 71 caps, most of which as a starter.
