Child hailed as Chapecoense crash hero visits Real Madrid

James Rodriguez posed for a photo with Johan Alexis Ramírez Castro at Valdebebas on Monday, with the young fan meeting his idol after becoming known for his efforts amid the Chapecoense plane crash.

In the immediate aftermath to the tragedy, a rescue team was diverted by the youngster who became an overnight saviour thanks to his efforts in helping the emergency services and volunteers.

"It's a great feeling and something very nice for me," said Johan to the Real Madrid media channel. "This shirt is a very nice gift that I'm going to cherish for a lifetime, it's a pleasure for me."
