Blackpool vs Brackley Town - Colin Daniel ruled out of FA Cup meeting with Brackley

Blackpool will be without midfielder Colin Daniel for the FA Cup clash with Brackley.

Daniel pulled his hamstring in the second half of the 4-1 win over Newport last weekend and is now set for a couple of weeks on the sidelines.

The Seasiders had better news on defender Kelvin Mellor, who was carried off on a stretcher in the same fixture due to a knee problem, with boss Gary Bowyer hoping he would resume training before the end of the week, but Jack Redshaw (shin splints) remains out.

Bowyer could use the fixture to run the rule over his fringe players having started the likes of Eddie Nolan and Mark Yeates in the previous round.

Brackley boss Kevin Wilkin has no fresh injury concerns for the trip.

The Vanarama National League North side claimed an FA Trophy replay win over Mickleover Sports in midweek and following that match, boss Wilkin said: "The players have another 90 minutes of hard work in their legs but we picked up no further injuries in the replay which is good news."

Jimmy Armson and Glenn Walker were rested for that game and are likely to come into the starting XI at Bloomfield Road.

Brackley were 4-3 winners against Sky Bet League One side Gillingham in the first round after extra time in a replay and are playing in the second round for only the second time in their 126-year history.
