Macclesfield Town vs Oxford United - Silkmen looking strong for Oxford test

Macclesfield boss John Askey has a fully-fit squad to choose from for the FA Cup clash with Oxford on Friday night.

Veteran midfielder Richie Wellens signed for the Vanarama National League side on Wednesday but featured for Salford in a previous round so will not be in contention.

The Silkmen will hope to cause another upset after seeing off Oxford's League One rivals Walsall in round one.

Macclesfield's first priority, meanwhile, will be to complete a match having seen their last two league outings hit by the weather.

Oxford boss Michael Appleton has confirmed that "one or two new faces" will come into his side.

Goalkeeper Simon Eastwood will continue in goal in place of Benjamin Buchel but Arsenal loanee Dan Crowley will not feature and is set to return to his parent club after his spell was cut short.

Tyler Roberts and Marvin Johnson are pushing for starts but Wes Thomas (Achilles) is out for the remainder of the season.
