Port Vale could have Sam Foley available for their Sky Bet League One home clash with Oxford.

The midfielder missed the 1-1 draw with Charlton on Tuesday due to an ankle injury but may be in contention this time around.

There are doubts over Martin Paterson, who came off at half-time in the clash with the Addicks, and Francisco Kiko.

Anton Forrester (hamstring) and Adam Yates are definitely out but Jerome Thomas (groin) and Anthony de Freitas could return.

Oxford boss Michael Appleton confirmed he could ring changes to his starting XI following their defeat at Coventry.

Arsenal loanee Daniel Crowley may start after coming off the bench and scoring on Tuesday while Marvin Johnson also has a chance of featuring.

Defender Joe Skarz is making good progress on the shoulder injury he sustained against AFC Wimbledon but is still not ready to return. Wes Thomas could feature following a calf strain.

Christian Ribiero (ankle) still remains sidelined but Rob Hall has returned to training after a long-term knee problem.
