Albion Rovers player-manager Darren Young will miss Saturday's game against Queen's Park with a groin injury.

Calum Ferguson is also out with a knee problem, but Young is looking for his players to repeat the level of performance they put in against Airdrie in their last game to secure a 2-0 win.

"It was good to get back to winning ways and of course as it was a derby our fans really enjoyed it," he said.

"We will need the same work-rate, as well as strength in defence and attack, to beat Queen's Park. They were always difficult opponents when we were in League Two and I am sure that they will be again."

Queen's Park miss both Bryan Wharton and Darren Miller through suspension, with injuries ruling out a further four players in Gavin Mitchell (foot), Tony Quinn (hip), Jamie McKernan (foot) and Josh Watt (ankle).

Scott Gibson has recovered from a knock with head coach Gus MacPherson saying: "This would be a good game for us to bounce back in after a couple of disappointments. Albion Rovers are old foes who have kept continuity in their defence since our League Two days and added good strikers. We will need to play well to win.

"We have shown that we can compete recently and now we need to start collecting points."
