Coventry vs Rochdale - Coventry boss Tony Mowbray could freshen things up ahead of clash with Rochdale

Coventry boss Tony Mowbray could be tempted to make changes ahead of the clash with Rochdale after the Sky Blues lost their last two games.

Mowbray's side have won just once in their last eight Sky Bet League One games and have fallen to sixth in the table, 11 points behind the automatic promotion spots.

Aaron Martin has made his return for the under-21s after an ankle injury but is unlikely to be ready but Norwich loanee James Maddison could start after coming off the bench in the midweek defeat at Barnsley.

Goalkeeper Lee Burge is out for the season following shoulder surgery last month while skipper Reda Johnson also remains sidelined with a serious hamstring injury he suffered earlier in the campaign.

Grant Holt is likely to retain his place in the Rochdale line-up after making his first start since his return to the club on Tuesday night.

Fellow striker Calvin Andrew remains out with a foot injury so Holt will again most likely lead the line at the Ricoh Arena.

Defender Olly Lancashire has missed four games through illness and will be checked on ahead of the game.

Donal McDermott (stomach) and defender Scott Tanser (leg) are struggling.
