Stevenage will have winger Ryan Hedges available for the visit of Portsmouth after the Wales Under-21 international extended his loan from Swansea.

Striker Adam Marriott continued his recovery from a calf problem with a goal in the reserves' 4-0 win over QPR on Tuesday, so he could be back in contention following his late substitute appearance in the defeat by Exeter last weekend.

Ben Kennedy, just back from a knee operation, also netted a brace to give interim manager Darren Sarll plenty of attacking options for Saturday's League Two match, when nine-goal midfielder Chris Whelpdale could return to the squad for the first time since Boxing Day after a groin problem.

Defender Dave McAllister and left-back Jerome Okimo (both knee) continue their recoveries.

Portsmouth are expected to welcome back four players for the trip to Broadhall Way.

Gary Roberts, Adam McGurk and Michael Smith all missed the 1-1 draw at Exeter on Tuesday but were back in training on Thursday.

Conor Chaplin came off against the Grecians as a precaution but the forward is likely to retain his place against Boro.

Danny Hollands is also set to start a third successive game alongside Michael Doyle in central midfield after returning from a broken leg.
