Portsmouth vs Bristol Rovers - Adam Webster set for Portsmouth return

Defender Adam Webster is back in contention for Portsmouth ahead of their Sky Bet League Two clash against Bristol Rovers.

Webster, 21, has been struggling with a hamstring injury and missed the defeat against Leyton Orient last weekend.

But after training this week, the central defender is likely to be available for selection when Paul Cook's side host Rovers.

Adam McGurk and Adam Barton both sustained knocks while in action for the reserves but should feature on Saturday.

Rovers goalkeeper Will Puddy is in contention to feature for only the second time this season.

Puddy has been dogged by a persistent groin complaint for the best part of 12 months and his previous appearance at Dagenham in December ended with him pulling up and being replaced at half-time.

But the 26-year-old returned to training last week and will now hope to dislodge veteran Steve Mildenhall, who was told to consider his future by manager Darrell Clarke in August but has played his part in Rovers' rise up the table during the last two months.

Clarke should have a full squad to choose from after last weekend's home game with AFC Wimbledon fell foul of the stormy conditions to hit the south-west of England.
