Wigan Athletic vs Oldham Athletic AFC - Same again for promotion-chasing Wigan against struggling Oldham

Wigan are likely to have an unchanged squad as they look to maintain their promotion charge at the expense of struggling neighbours Oldham.

Striker Conor McAleny, on loan from Everton, is likely to keep his place in the team and make his home debut after scoring in his first appearance for the club last weekend in the win at Sheffield United.

Latics boss Gary Caldwell remains without winger Michael Jacobs (calf) but has plenty of options available should he wish to make any changes to his starting line-up, with the likes of Craig Davies, recent signing Ryan Colclough, Haris Vuckic and Reece Wabara vying for starting roles.

Defender Kevin McNaughton is nearing a return to first-team action following a knee injury after playing for the under-21 side this week, the 33-year-old's first football since August.

Defender Connor Brown will be missing for Oldham as he completes his three-match suspension for a red card in the 1-0 home defeat by Bradford last month.

Cameron Dummigan played 45 minutes in a behind-closed-doors friendly against his parent club Burnley on Tuesday so he could return to the starting XI after missing the last two games with a calf injury.

The match at the Clarets' training ground was organised in order to help keep Oldham's players fresh after their match against Blackpool last Saturday was called off due to a waterlogged pitch at Boundary Park.

Defender Brian Wilson is likely to miss out with a groin injury and there is also a doubt over striker Dominic Poleon.
