Ipswich vs Reading - Dean Gerken and Jonathan Douglas unavailable for Ipswich's clash with Reading

Ipswich will be without Dean Gerken and Jonathan Douglas when they host Reading.

Goalkeeper Gerken has been ruled out for a month with a shoulder injury so Bartosz Bialkowski is set to step in.

Midfielder Douglas starts a three-match ban following his red card during the 3-0 defeat at Birmingham last time out.

Luke Hyam looks likely to come in for Douglas while defender Piotr Malarczyk is available after serving a one-match suspension.

Luckless Reading midfielder Aaron Tshibola is out after suffering another hamstring injury.

Tshibola returned after a three-month absence against Walsall in the FA Cup on Saturday but lasted just 10 minutes before pulling up.

George Evans and Yann Kermorgant can be added to the squad after they were cup-tied at the weekend while another January signing, Latvian striker Deniss Rakels, is awaiting international clearance.

Captain Paul McShane could return to the starting line-up after coming on as a substitute against the Saddlers following his recent lay-off with a calf injury.
