Raith Rovers vs Dumbarton - Raith's clash with Dumbarton to go ahead

Raith and Dumbarton will go ahead as planned as the Sons decided not to request a postponement after the sudden death of chief executive Gilbert Lawrie on Thursday.

The Kirkcaldy side are hopeful they can include Aidan Connolly following his release from Dundee United and whilst Lewis Toshney and Craig Barr are back in training, a lack of game time will see them miss out.

Jason Thomson (back) and Lewis Vaughan (knee) are absent but Grant Anderson is available after suspension.

Rovers boss Ray McKinnon said: "Despite a disappointing run of results we have kept hold of fourth place. Hopefully we can get going again with a win over Dumbarton."

Dumbarton will be without the suspended Darren Barr.

Tom Walsh is in line to play his first game following his loan move from Rangers.

Manager Stephen Aitken, who has no injury worries in his squad, said: "Our aim has to be to win this game and pull ourselves closer to the teams above us. Raith have done well this season, however we gave them a scare in the last game when we came back from three goals down to draw

"We showed in the Scottish Cup against Queen of the South that when we play well we can defeat Championship sides. I am looking for that standard again."
