Luton Town vs Mansfield Town preview - Luton worrying over Luke Guttridge against Mansfield

Luton midfielder Luke Guttridge is an injury doubt for the home game against Mansfield and defender Scott Cuthbert misses out through suspension.

Guttridge sustained a hamstring injury is last week's defeat at Notts County and will be monitored, while the club's appeal against centre-half Cuthbert's dismissal for bringing down Izale McLeod was unsuccessful.

Jack Marriott returns to contention following a two-game ban, but fellow striker Paul Benson is still struggling with a neck problem and is unlikely to feature.

Full-back Dan Potts and midfielder Nathan Doyle are still out due to respective hamstring injuries and centre-half Magnus Okuonghae is still working his way back from a ruptured Achilles tendon.

Mansfield have been hit by a virus this week and expect to be without up to three players as a result.

The club have not revealed who has been affected but believe the situation is unlikely to clear before the weekend.

That could create room in the squad for goalkeeper Scott Shearer (ankle) and midfielder Matty Blair (knee) who have returned to fitness.

Shearer played the first two games of the season before injury struck, but Blair has yet to feature this term.
