Ayr vs Stenhousemuir preview - Triple boost for McCall as Ayr prepare for Stenhousemuir game

Ayr manager Ian McCall will have a full squad to choose from when Stenhousemuir visit as Ross Docherty is available after suspension and Gerry McLauchlan and Alan Trouten are returning after injuries.

McCall is looking to see off the Warriors and build momentum.

He said: "We are still disappointed at losing an injury-time goal and only drawing with Forfar on Saturday. But if we win this one it will be three wins and a draw in our last four League One games.

"That is good form but we know that Stenhousemuir will be very tricky opponents if they play like they did when they beat Cowdenbeath on Saturday."

Stenhousemuir have a question mark over the fitness of Stephen Stirling after he suffered a knock in Saturday's 4-2 success over Cowdenbeath.

Manager Brown Ferguson is already without Jamie McCormack (hand), Ciaran Summers (leg) and Kieran Millar (broken nose), with Mark Gilhaney struggling.

Ferguson said: "I am hoping this is the game where the players show they can perform at the top of their game in away matches. We have been strong at Ochilview but we were far from our best at Forfar recently and lost 4-1.

"We need the same intensity and pace that we have shown in our home games to do anything at Ayr."
