Northampton Town vs Carlisle preview - Holmes absence not ideal for Town
Posted Monday, March 16, 2015 by PA
Ricky Holmes is sidelined for Northampton against Carlisle and is set for a scan on a knee problem.
The midfielder has swelling on the knee and is definitely out.
Marc Richards remains out with an Achilles problem, with the 17-goal top scorer still around a month away from a comeback.
Joel Byrom is available, though, after serving a two-game ban as the Cobblers hope to continue their play-off push.
Carlisle's new loan signing Paul Corry is hoping to make his full debut for the club.
Corry arrived on loan from Sheffield United for a month at the end of last week and stepped off the bench in Saturday's goalless draw at York.
Midfielder Jason Kennedy, signed on loan from Bradford last week, went straight into Keith Curle's starting line-up at York and is expected to make his home debut.
Antony Sweeney will play no part as he is struggling with a dead leg sustained in training and fellow midfielder Brad Potts' leg injury will be assessed after he played for an hour on Saturday after returning to the starting line-up.
