Robins run shot to pieces

Frenchman Bastien Hery grabbed a stoppage-time winner as Rochdale shrugged off a serious injury to midfielder Peter Vincenti to snatch a dramatic 3-2 victory at high-flying Swindon.

Hery headed Rochdale's winner in the second minute of added time after team-mate Peter Vincenti had earlier been carried off and taken to hospital with a bad Achilles injury.

Rochdale deserved their win, which ended a seven-match unbeaten run by Swindon, who took a 10th-minute lead through Anton Rodgers, who celebrated his full debut with his maiden goal.

Rochdale were the dominant side in the first half, but their finishing failed to match some enterprising approach play. Twice Ian Henderson wasted gilt-edged chances.

But they turned the game on its head with two goals in the opening 10 minutes of the second half.

Swindon were twice guilty of shoddy marking - Irishman Matty Lund and, 10 minutes later, Vincenti exposing their defensive frailties.

Vincenti was stretchered off minutes later before Michael Smith set up a grandstand finish with a 77th-minute Swindon equaliser.

But it was Rochdale who scored the all-important winner with the unmarked Hery on target.
