Rochdale vs Gillingham preview - Muldoon may make league bow

Rochdale striker Jack Muldoon could make his first league appearance for the club in the home game against Gillingham.

Muldoon has struggled with injury since his summer arrival from Worksop, but made his debut off the substitutes' bench in the recent Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat to Walsall.

Manager Keith Hill has no new selection issues and has a near full-strength squad to choose from as Dale bid to bounce back from successive defeats.

Goalkeeper Josh Lillis (ankle) is the only absentee, so Conrad Logan should continue, while on-loan striker Shamir Fenelon has been recalled by parent club Brighton.

Gillingham will be without midfielder Aaron Morris for the trip due to a hamstring injury and captain Doug Loft is absent through suspension.

Morris picked up the problem during last weekend's 3-0 home loss to Scunthorpe and is set to be out for up to a month.

"It's a shame because Aaron has done well," manager Peter Taylor told the club website. "It's even more frustrating because he didn't play last Tuesday so he was fresh and then that happens. It's a bit of bad luck for him but we just have to move on."

Loft is banned after being sent off against the Iron but the Gills could have striker Danny Kedwell back from a knee injury which has kept him sidelined since the end of August.
