Barnsley vs Bradford AFC preview - Treacy absent due to wedding

Barnsley winger Keith Treacy has been given permission to miss Sunday's Yorkshire derby against Bradford in order to get married.

Treacy is to tie the knot with his long-time girlfriend back in Ireland and Wilson agreed to honour an agreement made with the player when he joined in the summer following his release from Burnley.

Loan signing Ryan Williams, who arrived at Oakwell last week from Fulham, is expected to make his league debut in Treacy's absence, while Wilson could make further changes after the midweek Johnstone's Paint Trophy penalty shoot-out defeat at Oldham.

On-loan defender Peter Ramage is likely to return to the starting line-up and Devante Cole, Kane Hemmings and Brad Abbott are among those pushing for recalls.

Bradford striker James Hanson is expected to return to contention after missing the last five games due to a thigh injury.

City boss Phil Parkinson must decide whether to recall Hanson straight into his starting line-up for the televised clash or stick with Aaron Mclean and Billy Clarke up front.

New club skipper Andrew Davies is hoping to keep his place in the back four after returning to the side in last week's home win against Crewe having recovered from a broken arm.

Defenders Christopher Routis and James Meredith are pushing for recalls as Bradford clash with Barnsley for the first time in over eight years.
