Fernando Torres will make his Serie A debut with AC Milan in Sunday's match at Parma.

The Spanish striker joined the Rossoneri outfit on a two-year loan deal from Chelsea earlier this month.

AC Milan coach Filippo Inzaghi was delighted to land Torres after the club sold last season's top scorer Mario Balotelli to Liverpool this summer.

"I'm delighted with our summer signings," Inzaghi said to www.acmilan.com. "I really wanted Torres to join us and my request was satisfied.

"Now it is up to me to get him (Torres) back to the levels he is capable of and I will study his best position.

"But I believe that with the arrivals of (Italian winger Giacomo) Bonaventura, (Dutch midfielder Marco) Van Ginkel and Torres, we have a fantastic attack."

With Italian forward Stephan El Shaarawy out with an ankle injury, Inzaghi will hand Torres a place in the starting XI alongside Jeremy Menez and Keisuke Honda.

Former Atalanta star Bonaventura and Van Ginkel, who joined Milan on a season-long loan from Chelsea, will both start on the bench.

Milan expect to pick up where they left off in their 3-1 triumph over Lazio in their Serie A opener.

That game was Filippo Inzaghi's first in charge since replacing Clarence Seedorf at the helm of the Rossoneri.

"It was important to start well," Inzaghi said. "But we've only played one game and we have a lot of room for improvement."

Parma go in search of their first victory of the campaign this weekend after a surprising 1-0 loss at newly-promoted Cesena in their opener.

"We didn't start the campaign as we had hoped to," Parma coach Roberto Donadoni said. "But we will try to make amends with a strong performance against Milan.

"It's going to be a big test for us and we must be ready."

Donadoni will have all of his players available for the encounter at the Ennio Tardini stadium, with the exception of injured forward Jonathan Biabiany.

Former AC Milan striker Antonio Cassano will lead Parma's attack.
