Eden Hazard: Has been catching the eye at Chelsea
Thiago Silva has welcomed reports suggesting that Eden Hazard is a summer transfer target for Paris St Germain.
A deal would appear unlikely, with the Belgian playmaker currently in fine form at Chelsea.
The Blues are bankrolled by a billionaire owner of their own so have no need to listen to big-money approaches from Nasser Al-Khelaifi.
PSG may be tempted to test the water when the transfer window re-opens, though, with Chelsea well-stocked for creativity.
Silva admits an approach would make sense, with the reigning Ligue 1 champions always on the lookout for potential world-class recruits.
On former Lille man Hazard, he said: "It is normal that a president discusses transfers with the players.
"When there is a new name in the press, the president discusses it with us.
"Sometimes I speak directly with Zlatan (Ibrahimovic). It's normal to ask ourselves if a player can make us stronger.
"I would welcome Hazard with open arms, like we did all recruits.
"We need players like him to achieve our project and win everything. He is so strong tactically and technically. All the great players are welcome in Paris."
