Queen of the South have mixed news on the injury front ahead of their match with Dundee.
Daniel Carmichael has been declared fit after a thigh strain, but Derek Young will miss out with a toe injury.
The Doonhamers will unveil last season's Second Division winning flag ahead of kick-off, with manager Jim McIntyre reckoning that his side are facing the potential winners of this campaign's League One.
McIntyre said: "Dundee are a good side and are favourites for the titleso we are straight into the deep end.
"However, this is the type of big game that the players here worked so hard to get promoted for."
Dundee will be without the suspended James Thomson and Gary Irvine when they take on a Dumfries side that sat two leagues below them last season.
Stephen O'Donnell remains out with a knee injury and Leighton MacIntosh is a doubt as the Dark Blues look to get off to a winning start in what will be a tricky game according to manager John Brown.
The Dens Park boss said: "We had a good pre-season and are really keen to get going but this is a really difficult opening game.
"They had a magnificent season last year and have kept most of that squad together so it is a tough one."
